On course
At last it was time. In the last week we have conquered the league lead through constant performance. That's how it went last weekend against Tuspo Weser-Gimte. Here we were able to take a safe 6-2 home win. Then it went to Bremke on Tuesday for the top game against FC Gleichen. First against second, both lost only one game so far. We had to change something due to a few failures, but that was not evident in our game. On the small square in Bremke, a great but also competitive game developed in the first half. In the middle of the half we scored a header after a corner, which was denied due to a foul. This did not get us out of rhythm, so that a great move to the 1-0 lead was completed 10 minutes before the break. At halftime I switched over, which Gleichen probably hadn't expected, so that the lead was quickly increased to 3-0 shortly after halftime. Now we played the game safely and focused. So after the final whistle it was totally deserved 5-0 for us. The cheers were great because everyone gave 100% and went into the game fully focused. A great achievement, which was also rewarded by the numerous spectators. The coming weekend is now free of play, but we will definitely keep the lead. This must now be defended in the remaining three games. BL
